Everyone at the Slate Quarry gets invited to Mr.Slate’s private party, except Fred. He is mumbling all night for not being invited. After telling the tale of Cinderellastone to the children, Fred falls asleep, but gets awaken by a “Fairy Godmother” who changes him to a classy gentleman so he can go to Slate’s Party, by condition that he comes back by midnight. On the spot, as Mr.Mumbles, he is a hit at the party, even charming Mr.Slate’s wife and even recommending himself indirectly to a very important position to Slate himself… But Midnight is about to strike soon…
