Betty and Wilma seek employment to help the boys pay the bills and as a break from routine. The employment agency sends them to a TV station, where a producer decides to make Wilma “The Happy Housewife,” star of her own nightly show about cooking. Fred, used to having his dinner on the table when he arrives home from work, now goes grumpily unfed and is unable to cope–but the show is a huge success, as Wilma urges housewives in song every night to “make your hobby hubby.”
